Easy Fantasy Fudge Recipe

Adapted from a Kraft recipe

Makes about 4 dozen candies

bullet Peanut Butter Fantasy Fudge Variation

I make this at Christmas time and give it to my neighbors on a holiday plate with other goodies.

3 cups sugar
3/4 cups margarine
5-1/3 ounce can (2/3 C.) evaporated milk
12-ounce (2 C.) package of semi-sweet chocolate chips*
7-ounce jar marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped, toasted nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

*For Peanut Butter Fantasy Fudge, substitute the chocolate chips with 1 cup peanut butter.

Bring sugar, margarine and milk to a boil, while stirring constantly. Still stirring, boil for 5 minutes on medium heat or until candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees F.

Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips until melted. Add remaining ingredients and mix until well blended.

Pour into 13 x 9 or 9-inch square pan. Cool at room temperature and then cut into squares.
