Chocolate Marshmallow Fantasy Fudge Recipe

Makes about 4 dozen candies 

Fudge is a yummy soft candy made with butter and sugar, often chocolate-flavored, sometimes improved by the addition of nuts. This one is delicious !
bullet 3/4 cup butter 
bullet 3 cups sugar 
bullet 2/3 cup milk 
bullet 1 (12-ounce) package semisweet chocolate chips 
bullet 1 (7-ounce) jar marshmallow creme (available from the supermarket)
bullet 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
bullet 1 cup chopped nuts (optional) 

Line a 13 x 9 x2-inch baking pan with lightly buttered waxed paper or aluminum foil. Set aside. 

Combine butter, sugar, and milk in heavy 2 1/2 to 3-quart saucepan; bring to full rolling boil on medium heat, stir constantly. Continue boiling for 5 minutes on medium heat or until candy thermometer reaches 234 degrees F (110 degrees C), stirring constantly to prevent scorching. 

Remove from heat. Stir in chocolate chips until melted. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. 

Pour into prepared pan. Cool at room temperature. Cut into squares.
